Single vineyard wine from Dixons Creek at the North end of the Yarra Valley. Vineyard planted in 1981, a mix of spur and cane pruned vines on shallow loam over heavy clay soils. Easterly aspect at 160m elevation. 10% whole bunches. Fermented in open fermenters. Wild yeast. Hand plunged. Only large format old French oak. On lees for 11 months. Tasted frequently touched rarely.
