Cherries and dried herbs on the nose, vibrant plums and cooking spices on the palate, volcanic like reduction, balanced and delicious. Like so many others before them Ray and Maree fell in love with the Etna Rosso they drank whilst in Sicily. Determined to recreate the wines in the Australian landscape and facing the reality that there is not yet Nerello Mascalese fruit available in Australia they blended Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir and Schiopettino to acurately mimic the wines they enjoyed so much. Fermented and rested in 800Lt Tuscan Amphora for 11 months prior to bottling without fining or additions.
